Default Another Los Angeles money-grab

First it was for picking up hookers
Next it was for street racing
Now it is for buying and selling drugs
and dumping an old couch somewhere
Next up: flash a gang sign

What do these have in common?

Do any of these and you can have the vehicle you are in seized and sold at auction.

Any predictions as to what's next? Surprisingly, DUI is not one of them.

Wow...thanks for the warning. I'm going to pick up some hoes, smoke a doobie, and street race while C-walking, but I'll do it all in an old crusty crapper! They ain't getting nothing out of me!

DUI can't be one, because then there'd be too many city officials and movie stars losing their cars.

Chief Bratten wanted to crush two siezed street racer camaros in front of their owners. Truly psychotic thinking.

No that I condone illegal activities, but i find the trend towards confiscatory punishment disturbing.

The temptation to make this "punishment" a revenue-generation machine is too much. Granted the official wanted to crush the two Camaros as a photo-op, but a few days down the road when the cameras are away and they'll be auctioning them off to add cash to their budgets.
