Damn, I was just at an airshow 2 weeks ago and they had one there. It was just a static display tho, and i guess im grateful for that now. I dont think thats something i'd really want to see. Sweet lookin' plane though...

Wasn't this plane kind of a knock off of the F15 that the soviets had come up with partly based on stolen schematics? I thought I had heard this on one of those "Top Ten Miltary Fighter Jets" shows on military channel.


And which one is the Russian badass plane with the thrust vectoring engine nozzles that can turn on a dime?

That was the Mig 29...but yeah - same program.

Nope. Seconds before the crash the pilot radioed he'd try to clear out of the crowd and save the plane . BTW, one of my "comrade" was about 400 ft from the place where the plane crashed .
