Default any child support geniuses in here?

So i have 50/50 custody of my oldest son (17) and about 85% of my youngerst (he sleeps 2 nights out of 14 at idiot's house).

somehow the court master has come up with me paying $500 to their mom despite me paying for 100% of health care, 100% of school lunches and 100% cell phones (luxury probably)....

the master indicated that i basically have full custody due to the way the system calculates it since my younger son is with me almost all the time.. so how can i possibly owe $ to someone else when I have the equiovent of full custody?

The master even said in the hearing "MA'AM NO MATTER WHAT, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY HIM".... and then the papers showed up and i am to pay her. I called and they said that i make way more than her.... i knew that... she goes out jogging instead of working... she finished 5th overall for women in the f@#king pittsburgh marathon... wonder why she doesn't make any $????

so... i am now need to file a exception to his report.... anyone know much about this shit? CURSES!!!!!

From my experience and I know it changes from state to state. From my understanding 50/50 custody neither pays child support. Of course finances are also determined as they try to make sure the child sustains the same livable lifestyle from parent to parent. I understand your frustration as my bitch of an ex has me bent over for child support and takes full advantage of not working until my daughter is 5. Things have changed and after having a step son as well I have experience on both sides of the fence. Its like a game of poker you need to try to agree on as much as you can out of court and make her feel belittled and trapped. i.e. if she ignores the child, neglects, doctor visits. I normally do this away from the court room and via phone call ") try to get text from her where she is vicious and/or confrontational. This helps as ammo when going to court as the judge wants to see "encouraged" relationships with the other parent. I could go on forever on this matter as I have been threw court myself and with friends more then i care to admit. If you want to vent or have anymore questions PM off key. Good luck to you!

Lawyer up.
. . . and if you can, demand receipts from the child care expenditures on her part.

Utilize a lawyer as best as you can. Most states have regulations on how custody and support is determined. Lawyer will be the best thing to help guide you on what needs to be done. Good luck!

Even if your oldest son turned 17 yesterday, at $500/month, you'd only be coughing up $6,000 til you don't owe child support for him anymore. I'm not sure what the going rate of attorneys are where you live but a maximum of $6,000 doesn't sound like a whole lot of cash to ensure the well being of your son and keeping headaches to a minimum. By the time this is played out, you probably won't even have to pay child support anyway and you'll have a nice lawyer bill.

(p.s. You're looking at this wrong. She doesn't have 1/4th custody of 2 kids; she has 15% custody of 1, and 50% of the other, it's not a bundle deal).

Luckily the end is near like you said.... but....in theory though, she should be paying me since i have way more custody. We both graduated the same year from college and she used to make double what i do...but the past 5 years I have had to pay her every month due to her running instead of working...she finished in the top 10 in the PGH marathon so that alone says she is spending a lot of time running and not working.....apparently the Domestic Relations dude was not able to figure that out...doh.... You don't finish 8th in a 26 f@#king mile race and not spend a lifetime training for it.

I think it is a personal thing now. She is an idiot for a mom which is why i have so much custody and I would rather pay $2-3k in legal bills than to pay her anything. hahahaha....

SPITE!!!! that is what it is all about...

So. . . here's the deal. Did she volunteer her education and past work experience? If she did, then, you're going to be hard-pressed to overturn a judge's decision (though I think you might want to entertain the notion of trying). However, if the Family Court judge was not aware of her background because of omission of facts on her part, you should (in my mind, what's not an attorney) be able to sue her ass back to the stone age. Hell, put into court for perjury.
