my physics teacher who did a 3 year stint at my HS before going off for his Ph.D went to Walla Walla, while he was there they had a chance to vote for their new mascot, of the 2 choices one was a Scallion, the fighting scallions was what he wanted to win, but the other one( i have no clue what it is) won, but that would have been funny, there was a possiblity for a plant as a mascot.
