The season FINALE "SHOCKWAVE" was the best ep ever.

Synopsis:

After apparently causing the obliteration of an alien colony, Enterprise is ordered to return to Earth, until a surprise visitor offers Archer startling evidence about what really happened.

Eager to visit the deep-space colony of a race called the Paraagans, Captain Archer leads an away team toward the surface of an alien planet. While piloting the shuttlepod into the atmosphere, Reed proceeds cautiously as he follows the Paraagan landing protocols precisely, a necessity due to the high concentration of the volatile gas tetrazine at a certain altitude. He closes the shuttlepod's plasma vents as instructed (exhaust plasma being the only thing hot enough to ignite the tetrazine), but just then the shuttlepod is rocked by a deafening explosion, and a massive shockwave scorches the planet beneath them. After getting back to Enterprise safely, the distraught team learns the colony of 3600 people has been obliterated, and tries to figure out what happened. Reed is absolutely certain both plasma ducts were closed without malfunction, but Archer orders an investigation while he braces himself to report the incident to Admiral Forrest. While the crew continues its analysis and Archer deals with intense feelings of guilt, Forrest convenes an emergency meeting of the Command Council. He later informs Archer that Enterprise is to return home, and a Vulcan ship will rendezvous with them in three days to pick up T'Pol and Dr. Phlox.

The crew is despondent and frustrated not only that their own mission is cancelled but that Starfleet has been set back 10 or 20 years. T'Pol reports to Archer that Reed and his team have found an unidentified energy signature on the shuttlepod hull, but he dismisses the evidence as inconsequential. The captain climbs into bed after a very bad day, but when he calls for Porthos he gets no response. Turning the lights back on, he is bewildered to find himself in his apartment in San Francisco! Trying to figure out what's going on, he hears the com chirp, and receives a call from Tucker

Well said, Skorpion. That show's full of crap. A good sci-fi series is Dark Angel with Jessica Alba.

One of the best episodes yet! I can't wait for next season's premier.

One of my favorite Star Trek episodes was "Lower Decks"... it showed some of the life on the Enterprise-D from the crew's perspective. And it had a real tearjerker ending.

I've been really enjoying the new series. As a big fan of all the previous shows (yes, I even liked DS9 - there was not one character there without some neurosis!) I'm really enjoying seeing some of the previous history of Starfleet, how some of the technology developed, and first contact with some of the races that we already know all too well.

More so than the previous shows, this one seems to be hitting its stride much faster. I was playing 'wait-and-see' with Voyager until sometime in the second season - there were a couple episodes that were sooooo bad (the 'space manatees' that tried to mate with Voyager comes to mind ), but the characters eventually found themselves and it turned out really well. ENTERPRISE seems to be working pretty well from the beginning.

I really like the opening credits and theme! They set the perfect tone for the show!

I love this new series.
DC5 Kid, don't let the detractors lessen your enjoyment of something you like. I go to movies that film critics have flushed down the toilet and have thoroughly enjoyed them. I don't give a ratsass about what they say. They don't know jack schit about what I like or don't like.

I'm another Enterprise fan.
Don't get me wrong, but I thought the other 'Trek series had a somewhat 'cookie-cutter' feel to them. Liked'em, but I always got the feeling that I had seen the plot line on other shows....except they added aliens & put it in space.
Enterprise seems to be breaking that mold.

Love the new Enterprise, Jolene Blalock's set of silicones are nice and perky

Voyager really picked up when Seven of Nine came aboard...
