I found some info on the next series on http://www.startrek.com

It will be called 'Enterprise' with Scott Bakula(Quantum Leap) starring as the captain. As for the environment, it's supposed to take place about 100 years from now...or about 150 years before Captain Kirk. So, it's basically going to be a series about the birth of Federation and exploration. Should be interesting.

 

that kinda sucks...any fan can tell you that the history books' recount of the birth of the Federation is false and misleading. Supposedly USS Amity saved a drifting Vulcan scout vessel outside of Jupiter's orbit, and with the discovery of Alpha Centaurians decades earlier (Alpha Centaurians are a Homo Sapien-like race), xenophobia did not set in, and a few years later the Federation was founded. That wasn't the entire truth, but the worst part of all this is the movie "First Contact"'s historical recount was ENTIRELY FALSE. i was pretty pissed when they said "it was Zefram Cochran's first warp test that attracted the Vulcans..." What a bunch of BS! Zefram Cochran was an Alpha Centaurian, NOT human!

 

I guess I'll have to wait and see. I was looking forward to newer technology and stuff. Oh wells.. Maybe they'll run 2 concurrent later on.
