Default Anybody here use Turbo Tax?

I own a home, work for someone else, donate to non-profit organizations, have no dependents. Anyone else with similar criteria use it? How do you like it? Thanks.

Have used TT for the past several years. The tutorial is is great and being able to do a "what if" scenario is a great enhancement. The electronic file works great.

We do not file a complicated return. Just the usual, interest expense, realestate taxes, dependents (when we had them), interest income, etc.

At least in this part of the country Sams has the lowest price. I think it was about $30

Sounds like Turbo Tax may be the way to go. I'm tired of paying a buttload of money for some stiff to do my taxes every year. Thanks for the input fellas.

I have used it for years. I tried it out by redoing my taxes that an accountant had just done.

It found several deductions the accountant missed. I redid the previous 2 years and refiled them with additional money owed to me.

Haven't looked back.

I do the business and the whole family's personal taxes on it.

hard to argue with that one.. ^^^

I've used it for the last 6 years or so... after I paid way too much to HR blockhead once..

and every year after doing them on TT, I tell myself that I will do them on my own the next year and save the 30-40 bucks, but end up doing them with TT on the last day... I just get to lazy.. TT works very good.. easy to use.. and i'll use it again this year.. I'm sure..

heck.. I think a lot of accountants use it anyway... and they would be stupid not to..

btw.. H&R blockheads just use computer software no more sophisticated and maybe less, then TT.. I've seen them do it.. plus, I'm not sure they did mine right when I had them do it for me.. why pay someone like H&R when you get the same results or better using TT.. and.. weren't they in the news last year ..? being sued or something..

A lot easier and faster than dragging all your papers over to H&R Block. The best DIY project ever. Cheaper, faster, easier, win, win, win!

I've been using it since it first came out. I got my brother-in-law to try it a few years ago, and when he compared it to what his accountant had filed, he discovered a $2000 error in his favor. The accountant didn't know about some change in the tax code, but Turbo Tax caught it.
