Default Anybody know electronics/circuit board repair?

Boy, this topic should get a lot of views.........

Here is my problem (excuse my poor terminology) I have a circuit board that is damaged. One of the conducting line thingies (what I think is called a trace) is scratched/burned/damaged so that this line has a break in it. Is there a product, besides good old solder, that would be sort of like a good conducting paint that you could spread on the damaged area and would dry and form a material that would conduct well enough to restore the damaged line or trace?????? And secondly, is there another product that then is used to coat it like the green coating used on circuit boards to protect the fix??? Where do you get these products????

Is there another better way to go about this?

Thanks in advance.

Stupid D0 wire!!!!!!!!

I do repair work on tubed audio gear so occasionally, if they aren't point-to-point wired, I'll need to fix a circuit board.

This method is similar to the one I use.

I should warn you that the smaller the the board, the more difficult repair gets. What is the PCB out of? What are the size of the conductors?

Aye carumba!!!! Thanks for the help. It looks pretty hard if you see how small the conductors are on this motherboard! I might give it a shot though.

Fortunately, Xbox motherboards are only about $60 on ebay.

You can try using window defroster paint to repaint the traces if the board and the surrounding is not too damaged.
