Default Anybody know what kind of speakers these are?

A friend of mine gave me three of these a while ago and I've just now found a good use for them. However, I don't have any specs on them. They didn't come in a box or anything, they were just loose. Only one has a product sticker on it. Only thing I can think is that they were never intended for individual sale, but rather as part of a setup of some sort. Any help would be appreciated.

The magnet is on the front of the cone so they're pretty flat. They're all 10". I did a google search on the numbers but couldn't find anything.

Thanks man. You know if they're any good or not? I assume they're 4ohm since they're for a car, but I could be wrong. Bose always does something weird.

Well in the MDX its configured as a free air subwoofer in the right rear panel. It sounds okay for factory. I would guess its 4 ohm, you can check the resistance with a multimeter to make sure. I dont think it would handle lots of power to get as loud as some may want though.

I plan on using them in a jukebox I'm restoring so the power would be low and they would be free air, but I would need 8ohms. I think my multimeter is going bad because it just reads .8 for some reason.

BTW, thanks alot. You've been most helpful

No problem. I guess they would be fine for your application. Depending on what scale you have your meter set at, it sounds like it is 8ohms. Good luck.

Just found a good description on the MDX forum. Looks like they're a 1ohm speaker. So much for my application. Anybody need new subs for their MDX?
