I know it is all just tricks but I find the show fascinating.

I watched last night when he pulled the trick about the dude from Shaun of the Dead wanting a bike for his birthday. Awsome.


I am going to have to perfect that technique so my wife will always like her presents.

 

I don't know what the show is about, but being a psycho bio major, I can tell you for a fact that hypnotism doesn't really work like it seems on TV. A person technically can not be 100% hypnotized. There's a lot to be said about the topic. There are a few tricks you can use that most people will fall for though, if they're not already aware of such techniques. My favorite is neuro-linguistic programming.

 

Its not just hypnotism, he does lots of different things. Basically an hour of different mind games, lots of suggestion used but what makes the show so good is how polished the guy is with his technique and how so many of the people have no idea what is being done to them.

I fell in love with the show the first time I saw it. Although I am fascinated by all of the things he does, I still want to know how he pulled of knowing exactly how much cash a random person was carrying in their wallet.
