Default anyne have sharper image ionic breeze?

sharper image ionic breeze quadra

i got mine about a month ago and its starting to make a weired mechanical sound like every 2 minutes. my setting is at low and the cleaning indicator lights has never came on. is something broken?

nevermind, i just cleaned it and it seems to have stopped. is it normal to make that noise when its dirty? why didn't the cleaning indicator come on?

if something is wrong, i want to return it before the warranty runs out.

yeah, mine makes a "sizzling" noise when its dirty. Sometimes, if I am too lazy to clean it, I just turn it off..heh

Yeah, it tends to happen more when the air is humid as well. My X has a pair that run all the time. She claims they help.

Check consumerreports.com.

They did a test on air cleaners, and the ionic breeze was by far the worst of them all.

yea, they do suck compared to the hepa filtered ones i've tried before but those were loud. all the ionic breeze seems to do is keep dust off of my floor(i have wooden floors). for ciggarettes and marijuana, it barely does anything.
