be anything you have a passion for and while you're at it... only do it if you're going to be the best at it.

on a side note:
i really dont like how people go about saying that someone should be a nurse instead of a doctor if they can't handle it. and people also get thhe impression that nursing school is easy... its not... it really isnt.
i really don't mean to offend anyone but seriously some doctors are too arrogant... they musta done it for the money and the status

It's easy compared to medical school, though.
Getting into a BSN program is like getting into college (which it is). Once you're there, you have to pass your classes.
If you're graduating at the very top of your nursing school class, then it may be comparable... to pre-med.
So then you're thinking your pretty hot stuff... then you start med school.
You then have a class of 100-150 people in your med school who are at least as "good" as you and start all over again, fighting to do well.
Then do it again for residency.
Then do it again for fellowship.
I really don't mean to offend anyone, but seriously some nurses are clueless.
I keed, I keed.
Nursing is a very difficult job in all seriousness. But it costs less (for schooling and lost wages) and the training IS easier. But you don't need more to do primary care. Really, a NP is the same as an FP in a lot of cases.
We're not saying to become a nurse "if you can't hack it."
We're saying that it's smarter to be a nurse than a general medicine MD.

then you're at risk for becoming steril and not having kids due to the various effects of the chemicals you work with.

Hmm Nurse Anesthetist huh
For those of you going/went to medical school, did you enjoy english and history class in high school/ college?
I really enjoy math and the sciences class I am taking/have taken, but I don't enjoy history class at all and wish I could sleep in english class. ( A little exaggerated, but you get the point )
It seems like you have to take a lot of english too for an M.D.

You should be good at Essay writing because it's the same as the scientific method. Form a hypothesis and then support it.

Man that is a silly statement. Considering i got my wife pregnant on the first try twice. So if what you are saying is true, I have super sperm.
If it causes sterility, I'd hate to see how many kids he'd have had otherwise!
