and MagusAptus, that's some scary sh!t
good thread, keeps me awake at work
Only weird thing happened to me was a uyje(spelling?) board was my friend and bro were using in and when I opened the door and look at them the board flew at me. it coulda been them, but had to have quick hands cause i didnt see anyone move.
another friend has a ghost in his apartment now. he told me bout his roommate locking and shuting the down then about 10-15 mins later the door is open. this happened 3 or 4 times till he just yelled, "fine, ill leave the door open. just let me sleep" and it stoped. my friend has heard noises when hes alone. Also his cat will stare at the same spot in the hallway sometimes. one night it stood with its back arched the whole night and just stared out into the hallway.

I've had two possible ghost encounters in my lifetime...
Encounter #1:
I was pretty young, maybe 5-6 years old or so, and I could've sworn I saw a ghost in the mirror. I was sleeping on the floor in my parents' room (I forget why), which has a view of the bathroom mirror. In the middle of night, I woke up to use the bathroom. As I woke up, I looked in the mirror and saw the upper half of a man kind of floating there. The man was an icy blue color, wearing a top hat, and looking in my direction. I freaked out, of course, and ran to wake up my father. Naturally, by the time he looked at the mirror, there was nothing there. This happened when I was rather young, however, so I wasn't sure what to think of it...chalked it up to childhood imagination.
Encounter #2:
I used to work at the Corning Revere store in the Great Mall (you Bay Area folks will know where that is). I initially worked there as a summer job, and left for college in So Cal at the end of summer. Upon returning to the Bay Area for winter break, I went back to Corning Revere, found my old manager, and told her I wanted to work there over break. So, she hired me back, and told me that they'd been having ghost problems recently - pans and pots flying off the hangers, electronic phones ringing on their own, people hearing voices, etc. I was a bit skeptical and figured she was yanking my chain. So, I worked there for a while without incident. Then, one night, it was just myself and my manager closing the store. She was in the back counting money, and I was in front cleaning up. That's when it happened. I was walking down an aisle picking up dishes and placing them back on the shelves. I saw a dish move from one shelf to the other, and then back again a few seconds later. In other words, it was on one shelf, then it floated across the aisle and landed on the opposite shelf. This happened about 10 feet or so in front of me. Needless to say, I believed my manager's stories after that, and I never freakin' closed on my own again. Who knows if that was due to a ghost or not, but whatever it was, I don't want to see it again.
My manager's theory was that there could be ghosts because the Great Mall was a Ford plant for a long time. She figured maybe some auto worker died in that area. Anyway, all I know is I saw the dish float...and no, it wasn't due to drugs, I didn't start using those until later.

Heres a ghost story that happened to my friend David, I belive him because he is not the type of person that lies about this stuff.
Well he had spent the night at his friends house in West Covina, because he didnt want to go home that night. His friend tells him that the house is haunted and to just ignore the noise if there was any. Davids friend asks him if he wanted to sleep in his room on the floor or in the living room on the couch. David said he would rather sleep on the couch because he doesnt like the floor.
About an hour later he hears something upstair. David couldnt sleep so he decided to go up stairs and see who was up. He tries to open the door but it didnt open cause it was locked. The door handle was the old school where you could see through the key whole. So he looked through the key whole and it was red. He stood straight up and thought to himself why is it red. He looked through it again it was still red. He stood back up and was still puzzled, he said to himself this is going to be the last time he looks. David looks through the key whole and sees a white lady across the room with her back to the door. She turns her head and looks at the key whole with her RED EYES!!!!!!!!!!
David runs to his friends room screaming.
This is true whether you believe it or not.
