anyone ever encounter with ghost??
I don't believe in ghosts, but like ghost stories. If they are real COME AND GET ME!!!!!!!!!!! I like to be spooked once in a while for the adrenaline rush.
Anywho it is that time of year again, Halloween so there is this radio show called Coast to Coast with some guy named Art Bell. It is on late at night in most major markets, basically a show for wierdos who want to talk about ghosts, bigfoot, the boogie man, space aliens, whatever. Pretty stupid but I am strangely entertained by it because I always have it on in the car when I leave my favorite night spot on the weekends for the drive home. Anywho......every year on Halloween they call the show Ghost to Ghost and have people call in with personal ghost stories.
They used to just let people call in and tell some ghost story without screening them and they were pretty lame, but last year they had people submit them ahead of time and only the good ones got on the air. It was an entertaining show. If you like listening to those kinds of things you can probably find the show in your radio market.
This is as close to a ghost story as I can get......
One night I was awakened by my dog who was standing on the foot of my bed, facing away from me looking at the bedroom door and out into the hallway. My dog was growling and and all his hair was standing on end. He would growl and then franticly sniff at the air and growl some more. I sat up in bed and grabbed him but he pulled away and continued to growl at the door. The bedroom door was moving, opening up a little wider very slowly and the dog stared at it sniffed the air and growled. This was one of those hollow core doors that is light as a feather and moves very easily but the windows were closed and the heat was not running so there was no gust of airflow moving the door. My dog has NEVER done that before and never done it since.
I believe it was nothing, but it still freaked me out and I went and turned the lights on, walked around the house turning lights on to see if someone was in my house with the dog following me around growling, but nothing was there so I went to sleep. I had such a rush it was cool! But it was not a ghost. As coincidence would have it I had just gone to see Blair Witch that afternoon so the dog made me double freaked. I love to get the willies. Someone needs to sell adreneline in huge bottles.

The company I worked for a couple of years ago decided they wanted to add an addition to their building, so after about 8 months later it was complete...One morning, I was the first to arrive at work so I had to shut off the alarm system...I headed over to my work area passing some rooms that had windows on the doors...Well, you know when you get that feeling you feel like someone is watching you? I turned my head slightly and saw a little boy dressed in early 1900's attire, in one of the rooms...I blinked twice, rubbed my eyes and he was gone...I kinda freaked out and went outside to calm myself...I really didn't want to tell anyone but eventually told my supervisor since we were also good friends...She said she never saw anything but had eerie feelings since the building was done...
Anyway, the building was built up on a canyon and just below us there was a huge cemetary lot where many adults, as well as children, were laid to rest...
Hmmm, Poltergeist anyone???

The most errie feeling I've ever had was while hanging out in the old Northville Mental institution when I was in high school (94-95). This place was a little city of it's own with a observation tower, fire house, laundry building, infirmary, etc. Every building was connected by a series of tunnels. It was "The Place" to just go and hang out. You had to take a little hike on a wooded path just to get there (to avoid being seen). Some of the buildings still had beds, files, industrial washing machines, etc., but were all accessible. ANYONE local has more than likely heard at least one story about this place.
One time in particular (things like this happened every time we went) we popped up out of the tunnels under a stair case. It was a tight squeeze, so we all waited until all of us (4 or 5, I don't remember exactly) got through. Just as the last person was almost through, a cool breeze shot through accompanied by an womans extremely errie, hollow scream. We all froze only moving our eyes to look for each other's reactions. As we did, there was a tremendous racket in the next room. While most of the group scrambled back into the dark hole, a couple of us waited until it was over than went through the door to the next room which was quite large. The room looked like an old infirmary with beds lined up on both sides. Except, the beds were turned over, some scattered, and papers were everywhere. Every time we went we would hear or see what we knew were ghosts/demons/spirits...whatever. But, nobody ever got hurt, so we kept going back for "The rush". It really was an extremely strange place. They finally tore it all down a few years ago.

i shouldn't tell ya'll this, cause people think i am crazy, or insane... and I don't really tell people, but this is a good topic. I'm a "channeler" which means, I can hear/speak/understand/communicate with the dead. This scared me for years and year and years, because ghosts and that kind of stuff just always creeped me out. I started hanging out in psychic chat rooms on AOL, just because it is really that interesting. I never knew I had a gift, i just seemed to know things, which i shrugged off as dejavu. Well long story short, a psychic from one of them chat rooms messaged me and was like, "You have such a strong gift and you don't know how to use it" thinking he was insane, i kinda pretended like he didn't exsist. He finally convinced me to call him and on down the road, I suppose you could say I have "developed" my gift enough.
I'm not so scared of spirits or ghosts anymore, cept ones I feel are bad.. then i get real scared- other than that, i've opened my mind enough to be able to just feel them around me, and be able to communicate with them. A lot of times they just come to me, ANYWHERE i am, and ask me to talk to their living loved one.
Just some info for ya'll to think i am insane with.
