Don't know if it's a ghost or my innattentiveness......I just moved into my new home a week ago and on the move in, there's a 4th bedroom upstairs that eerily had the door shut and locked.

Mind you, the man I bought the house from sold the house because it was just him living in it, his wife died recently (I don't know the history behind it). After much time, I finally got the door unlocked and started moving boxes into the room. I ran downstairs to go get more boxes and when I got back upstairs, the door was shut again. I didn't think much of it, I assumed the door was off caster and it just had a tendency to swing closed. I put the boxes down on the ground and tried to open the door...it was locked!!!!

The wife was downstairs cleaning the kitchen, and no one else was at home. The hair on the back of my neck was standing on end........ I ended up moving my turntables, my records, and my hobby stuff into that room. Since the move-in day, I have not set foot in that room.

OH wow. I finally get to write a book on this site I never TRULY believed in weird things growing up. I had a pretty wild imagination, but ghost stories were just that.... STORIES!! At any rate, I lived in New Orleans from 88 to 95 and that was the only town that I experienced things of a supernatural story. Let me explain.

First Incident
---------------------

I was at band practice one night. The other guitar player in the band came to the rehearsal room with this wild story (as usual) about the house that he was helping his buddy with. His friend (Anthony)'s father owned the property and was getting it ready to rent out again. For some reason he could only keep tennants in for a few months and they would leave, so he had to paint the place and clean it up. My bandmate (John) explained how all these strange things were happening to them while they were working. For example, they'd clean out a paint brush and hang it on the mirror of the van to dry. When they went back out to get the brush, it was gone. They'd find it hanging from a branch in the backyard when they went for their smoke breaks. They would also coil up the hose after washing out the brushes, but when they came back out, the hose would be unrolled and stretched across the driveway. This happened several times until they came out and the car windows were rolled down and the hose was not only stretched out, but through one window and out the other. This went on for several days and included locked doors being found wide open, sections of hose flying through open windows. He thought is was neighborhood punks messing with them, so we decided to go with him this night and help them catch the "kids."

We arrived at the house, right off of Elysian Fields, and hadn't even closed the car doors yet when we heard banging sounds inside the house. We immediate entered the home and walked into the backyard to examine the shed which had been found with its locked sliding door wide open. We looked over the fence, down the driveway to where the cars were parked and immediately froze. The hose had been stretched across the driveway in front of the cars. We had only been there for 4 minutes. We continued to hear sounds inside the house, so John got his gun and a flashlight. We began searching the house when we heard strange sounds on the wooden floor. We examined it with the flashlight (the power was turned off) and saw coins rolling across the floor on their edges. We had 4 people in our group (the original 2 guys: John and Anthony, me, and our bassist Joe), so we thought someone was playing around. But after emptying out our pockets, nobody had any change in them. So, John and I moved slowly into the hallway and heard a sharp TAP TAP behind me. I whipped around and saw two quarters lying face down on the floor about a foot behind me. We checked light fixtures, cabinets, anywhere and everywhere coins could be hidden, but these things were appearing out of nowhere. We started getting the idea that this might be a ghost, so we got really panicked and started grabbing paint buckets, ladders, etc. so we could get the hell out of there. That's when all hell broke loose. As soon as we said we were leaving, coins started flying through the air. They hit walls, windows, everything. The velocity was as if they were being shot from a slingshot and we worried that someone would lose an eye. We ran out of the house yelling, then when the fear wore off and the exhilaration kicked in of unbelieveability, we ran back in to see more. Each time the coins would fly, until things eventually settled down. John grabbed a handful of coins and said he was going to buy smokes with them and I told him not to take that stuff with us, lest whatever was throwing them at us decided to tag along. He tossed them all on the floor and we left with ONE key to the house.

We dropped off the equipment at Anthony's dad's house and decided to go get beer and smokes from the gas station because our nerves were pretty tweaked out at this point. We get to the gas station and while I was sitting in the car minding my own business I hear a voice next to me saying, "get the hell out of here or you'll be praying when the cops show up." Startled, I turned to my left to see some guy dressed in a ninja costume with a bat and a revolver pointing at me. John was in the van in front of me and heard the same thing. We pulled across the street and he ran into a bar to call the cops (we didn't have cell phones in 94). I hid behind a transformer in the median to see what was happening. Our two buddies Joe and Anthony were trapped inside the gas station and got robbed at gunpoint.

When all was said and done, the guy got away, the cops showed up late, and we had had enough excitement for one night. We were all freaked out so went home to crash. We all went back to the house the next day (with the ONE key) to get the rest of the ladders etc. There was not a single coin lying on that floor.

I think we need to accept that once you kick the bucket, that's it.
I agree with you here, Andy, there are so many mysterious thing that science of today still unable to explain....no matter Space, Ocean marine, ghost Spirit, and many more....
