I've never ordered from there. I just answered because of your name. what do you drive (obviously a Civic). My last car ride was a CL-S but I had a Type-R with a RevHard stage 2 prior to that. quick car for sure. RevHard makes a good product.

Is it just me that finds that the site above is basically a complete rip-off from Ricks? I think Rick should be made aware of this. Look at the amount of cut and pasted content ... Not to mention the entire site, layout and function looks exactly like Rick's. This is crap, absolute crap!

There are similarities, except that the shift boots they're selling are vinyl and look like total crap.

Actually it's just the opposite - Rick copied other people. Companies/Individuals have been making aftermarket shift boots for a long time, it just happens that Rick makes a high-quality S2000 specific product that is popular with the S2000 crowd. If you do a search for shift boots, I'm sure you'll find many more out there.

Also, shiftboot is just a generic left-side-nav window site. Nothing special about theirs or Rick's site, Rick's is just done better.

Looks like this one is back.....look people, trust only those products that have been tried and trued!!!

Pay the little extra dough, and go with the Rick's piece. Support those that support us first....not their wallets. They'll, in turn, keep coming out with high quality products for us.

I dont really understand what your problem is? I really dont get why you are so anti-new sites? All I did was ask if anyone had ordered from this site and people get all weird,

There are similarities, except that the shift boots they're selling are vinyl and look like total crap
Rick, I cant believe that you would put down other people in the same business as you. You werent the first person to be in the business nor will you be the last. So I just dont get it? Are you scared to lose busniess?

Rev,

I'll tell you how I exactly feel:

I'm not anti-new sites, and new vendors. However, if you let making people manufacture and sell crap...and make money from it, more people are going to come into the industry and make crap. This makes it less viable for people like Rick's to offer quality solutions at affordable prices.

Now to get a little more specific about what bugs me about shiftboots.com site. They are outright liers. They put a disclaimer on their site about not being affiliated with Honda and Mitsubishi, and all the images used on the site, were used with consent of the respective owners. That's total bull crap! I explained it in another thread that Greg Stevens linked to. That one point alone merits Bryan Rust's dishonesty; therefore, how do customers expect trust the shiftboots.com organization?

If you pay $35 for a shiftboot.com shiftboot and never receive any corespondance and lose your $35, what have you gained? Absolutely nothing except stress....and to that you've lost $35. Why take that chance?

Pay the extra money, buy the Rick's shiftboot, enjoy it. To that you also have the confidence of knowing that Rick Hesel and Reedz will stand behind their products 150%, yes 150%...ask any of their past and current customers!!!

Stop supporting crap!!!
