its also crap when a porn studio sues 6000 people for $2000 a piece. Don't tell me they actually lost $12 Million from 6000 lost sales. Thats just nuts. Thats wayyyy overinflated.

Regardless, my attorney for my business is always waiting on retainer. he wouldn't even charge me much for something as trivial as this BS

 

i still download all the tv shows that i watch. quality is better and available sooner than streaming. Depends on the site tho. If its on the studio's website or netflix i dont bother dling.

I am not a lawyer and everything stated is based off what I have read on tech blogs.

Read up on articles around the web - search ArsTechnica.com - More often than not these cases get thrown out in recent months. Their main objective is to scare you into paying the $3500 up front, but it's "illegal" for them to centralize the case to a specific area. I would stop torrenting though, or atleast learn how to hide what you are doing if you are insistent upon doing so.

I wouldn't begin to worry until you get a personal letter.

 

Copyright infringement isn't theft. It's copyright infringement. People shouldn't call it theft to make it sound better. In my opinion, it makes them lose credibility.
