Default Anyone getting sick of moderation on forums they

Checked the off-topic rules and it does not say anything about moderation bashing so here it goes.

First off Honda Tech

Ive been on that site for 7 years and over 16000 posts.(Mostly on work time)
But I have been banned 3 times.

1st time I can understand I was out of line.
Second time no reason or warning was given.
Third time was because I posted my vies on suicide after some selfish chick took her own life for no reason or warning.

Next avatars - One dumbshit on honda tech thinks that avatar moderation is a great power trip because I had a picture of the team lazy recliner in it, he told me I was not on his team and he complained and had it taken down. WTF

Second part of avatars - I have this beautiful girl which has about 10 different shots of here in different clothing. No nudity, nothing obscene, but some idiot moderator on honda tech thinks its $$$$$$ and takes it down.

Next complaint is about the same avatar on this site. I have had it for about 4 months, this morning I log in and get an IM stating that someone finds my avatar offensive so he takes it down.

No there are tons of signature and avatars on this site and that site that show way more skin or sexual content then any of mine did.

Next, I IM a mod on here because I got ripped off by a member, do I get an IM back no, but some reason moderating avatars is more important because I get an IM for that.

I dont know what else to say, these people are power tripping and are making the sites less desirable to browse, which is bad for them because they make shit load of money off of advertising, and without people there, what are they going to do.

Last thing, the mod that banned me this last time for my thoughts on suicide really ****ed up for the owner of honda tech, I was using him for zeroforum for one of my websites, well I instantly cancelled the account due to this.

I am not familiar with the specific circumstances you are referring to. I just happend to catch this post while I was browsing.

First of all, I am sorry that you are frustrated and seem to be having issues with a certain moderator. Please understand that we are not "power tripping...nor are we paid or making a "shit load of money"as Moderators or Community Organizers". We are here to help keep the forum operating as smoothly as possible. When certain things start to go off course, the Mods or C.O.s are there to keep it from getting worse. Unfortunately, avatar and signature moderation has become necessary because people are abusing it. I cannot comment on yours because I didn't see it. But, I'm assuming that because you already had "history" with the moderator...you were being watched.

Second, calling a Moderator a "dumbshit" and mentioning he/she is on a "great power trip" isn't helping your case. You may have a legit complaint. But bashing and name calling isn't going to help the "mod" see it that way. Please understand that we have to deal with a ton of crap everyday. Do we get frustrated, pissed off, judgemental??? Of course, we are human. But we "volunteer" to do the job because we love our S2000s and we enjoy the forum.

My advise would be to contact the "mod" in question in a respectful way. In fact, you may want to edit your post here a little... You need to have a discussion about this situation and get his side of the story. I'm sure something can be worked out.

the peeps moderating the computer forum are odd. i recommend an application and they think its 4sale when in fact its open source.

s2ki needs to moderate less in the enter at your own risk section and moderate more in the technical areas

this forum has an excellent running record for me in that NEVER ONCE WAS ANY OF MY HONDA TEC QUESTIONS EVEN SLIGHTLY RESOLVED HERE.

On this site, the mods and admins are trying to keep it as family and work safe as possible.

many people's sigs and avis on this site are simply not "safe" for browsing.

whether there is nudity or lude acts depicted or not, there are filters and macros used by companies out there that will block people from using this site simply becasue there are too many fleshed colored pixels in an image.

Find a new avatar. I mean seriously....lets take a second and explore why you would want to display a questionable sig or avatar:

1. you like to view sexy women/men during your web browsing: Well...install a skin for your browser or view one of the 4 billion sexy person sites out there. Does viewing your 150 X 150 pixel avatar on s2ki bring you that much enjoyment??

2. you want to show everyone else the sexy picture you found: Then post it in the HOTTIES section and let us see a full-sized version of it. If it is a nude or pornographic image, keep it on your hard drive or find a newsgroup to hang out in, DONT BRING IT HERE!

3. You want to show other people how cool you are now that you either hit puberty or learned how to upload images to the site: We understand because we have all been there.

The sooner you realize that your sig or avatar is contributing nothing but heart-ache for the people who wish they could peruse this CAR!! site but cannot because of your adolecent addition to your profile, the sooner we can move on and not have to deal with people being blocked because of something new to no one and pointless on a car forum.

I feel for your tribulations on honda tech but the avatar issue is assinine.

you should realize the intent of the admins, mods and owners and simply comply, is it that big of a deal?????
