no_really speaks the truth, the management team of many franchises, especially new franchises are perhaps some of the most clueless people there are. stick to an existing franchise to minimise headaches, and if u decide to buy a franchise and run it from scratch, be prepared to lose a lot of sleep and throw away the next 3-6 months of your life getting it running right
