Default Anyone have a late start in college?

I'm 21, and have basically been working since I graduated High School. I attended a Tech school, but wasn't really into it(didn.t do so well). I work full-time for Ryder right now and have no clue as to what I want to do for a living. I do know that I dont want to make $11.00 per hour for the rest of my life!! I guess my question is, does anyone thats been in the same situation as me, have any good advise to share? It would be nice to hear.

Greg

Go back to college, 21 is really not late to go back man.. I'm 20 and approaching 2nd year, so 21 is not far off, and there really is no age gap between you and your classmates either... some people go back to college in their 30's and 40's.. you are 21, still very very young.. I know some people who took a year off to work, and save up, then go back to college so I advise that it's better to go sooner than later, and apply for the upcoming semester/term (beginning in September I presume.) If you are worried about the money, well there are lots of internships and co-op placements in college, so try to get yourself involved with that, or a part time job would suffice as well.. You seem to be doing pretty well for yourself so far though with an S2000 .. Good Luck...

If you ask me, you should go back to school. It's not too late, 21 is still young, you will blend right in. If you go back, school should made be one of your top priorities. You have to be very clear that you are going to finish school. If you have issues with motivation or commitment you should deal with those issues before you pay for the tuition. Otherwise you would procrastinate exams, assignments, whatnot. You would end up wasting your precious time and money better spent on something else. After you get your B.S. in whatever, you will be an educated person with a new window of job opportunities and most important respect. I'm sure you don't want to be making $11/hour for the rest of your life.

Regards,
Kevin

I'm 20, going into my third year, and the people that have been in my classes range from my age to 60 years old. People go back to school at all ages and some do take their time.

It's not like highschool where it's taboo if you are a year or two behind.

As for what I want to do, I hope to work in the magazine industry or be a newsanchor.
