Anyone here ever been on a game show?
I was on one a long time ago (1983) in Ireland, called Murphy's Micro Quizm
My younger brother sent in a postcard with our names on it, and they called us two days before taping, said to show up and be prepared for an all-day shoot.
It was a show where three families of four (Mom, Dad, two kids) competed against each other by answering questions. At the break, top two families went to the final, and winning family got a chance to pick one person to answer 5 questions for the grand prize, which was a car.
We came second, winning a Christmas hamper and, more importantly for us kids, a Dragon 32 personal computer...very hi-tech at the time, lol.
It was fun. I spent the two days before taping reading all the Q&A books I could find, so I wouldn't look too dumb. I was a total nerd at the time, so my favorite question was when they asked "How many centimeters in an inch?", and I said 2.54! They had to check, 'cause they only had 2.5cm down for the answer.
