anyone here use bit torrent?
Everyone keeps mentioning it, is it similar to a p2p? If so why does everyone keep mentioning "seeds", I'm assuming its not like a search and then click to dl? Just got a new comp and trying to learn all the new stuff out there
Bit torrent is P2P tool. Seeders are those who have completed the download and are now uploading the content. You need at least one seed to complete the download. You can search, click, and download. The sites I use are mininova.org and torrentspy.com. Before you can download torrent files you need a client program. I would recommand Azureus for that.

ok so I go to torrentspy on my broswer, I go to latest seeds and it says download when I see a seed(program) I like? If I d/l the Azureus program would I still need to d/l that seed at torrent spy.on my browser?

The torrent file is not the actual file. The torrent file will connect you with peers who are downloading and uploading the file.
