Default Anyone here using GIMP?

I heard about GIMP, a program similar to Photoshop for both PC and Mac. Anyone here using it? What do you think of it? How about crashes, has it caused crashes?

I use it nearly everyday, but not on a PC's or Macs. My use is restricted to diagnostic imaging workstations, and I use it to create high resolution TIFF files. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I use it. It does what I need; hasn't crashed on me. However, as I've found with 90% of all GNU freeware ported for Windows, it at least as the good grace of not taking down the rest of the system with it (when it does crash).

I haven't used gimp, but I use paint.net which is similar, and also free.

I just use windows. they don't make paint.net for mac, so if you need it for both platforms, the choice is easy.

but for some info:
