Default anyone play the "slots" much?

I knew I would lose, but I wasted $28.00 anyway...... i felt sorry for all the idiots in there. It was mostly minorities playing for some reason....

These people just kept dumping more $ into all the machines.... almost like they were possessed. They never seemed to notice that almost no $ comes back out of the machines.?? some were playing 2 & 3 machines at a time....just keep pushing the buttons...push push push.

I spent about 45 minutes there watching the dumbshits & wasting my $28.00.

I bet if I had played those last $2.00 (of my $30.00) i would have hit it big.

I've been to a casino one time. I brought $20 and went right to the nickel slots. I left $238 richer. I have a feeling next time I go I'm gonna lose though.

According to the show on the discovery channel about gambling, the poker slot machines had the best chance of winning out of all gambling games.

If you know how to play video poker perfectly. Slots are supposed to be one of the worst games as far as odds go.

When I go to Vegas (about once a year) I don't gamble a whole lot but only play slots because I don't know my table games well enough. I am "up" overall on slots but that just means I got lucky a couple of times. Craps is supposed to be the best but I don't know the rules well enough.

I was actually putting the quarters into the machine one at a time to make it last longer.

Most people dumped a $20.00 bill (or higher) into the machine and started hitting the buttons every 5 seconds..... then put more $ in.

i guess out of 100 people maybe 10 walk away ahead and the other 90 dream about the next time.?? blaaa

My girlfreind and I put $21 a piece in the "Megabucks" machine every day we were there. $3 a pull, so we got 7 shots each day at $14 million (really horsecrap odds too) and at the end of 7 pulls hit the "cash out" button and took whatever was left.

Actually we did ok, getting $20 or so "wins" each day and cashing out about even after our 30 seconds of gambling. On the way to the airport we did our little routine but we fed it into the same machine with the intent on splitting what came out. Hit $300 plus and headed for the rental car. That made up for losses trying to play the "Wheel of Fortune" machines.

I take about $100 a day for walking around money. That includes beverages, ice cream, incidentals, tips to bellmen, and the small amount of gambling I do. This last time I went with $400 for four days and came home with $250. I was fine with that as I had a great time and spent a bunch on stuff other than gambling.

By the way, the $150 seats to "O" was worth every penny. What a great show.

there's a reason every casino is comprised about 75% slots.....

the Ka Cirque show at MGM is pretty crazy too if we're looking to compare entertainment

My father-in-law is the Karnak of slots. He plays $1 or $2 slots, max bet everytime (3 coins or more), only $100 bills go in. I have been to Vegas with him about 20 times and I would say he comes out about $5K ahead 18 of those 20 times (including comped rooms, free food, show tix, etc). Dude just has the luck. Unfortunately my wife did not seem to inherit that gene.

People play those games because it requires no skill. I went to the casino this weekend and just played blackjack and doubled my roll ($500)

the thing that sucks about slots nowadays is that a lot of casinos have gone the completely electronic routes, where instead of actual coins coming out of the machines, you get a lame paper receipt when you cash out which you redeem for actual money at the cashier. how UNexciting is that?? i bet you years from now, the casinos will completely get rid of the chips, and instead, you make your bets via a touchscreen that's embedded onto the table. imagine if even further into the future, casinos get rid of the cards altogether, and instead you get dealt from an electronic deck via a touchscreen!!!
