I read sci-fi, war stories, non-fiction stuff. people that try to write about human characteristics, purity, anything like that by hiding them behind symbolism and doulbe entendres are IMO boring. you need to spell it out for me to be interested.

 

Ayn gets a bit "preachy" and repetitive for my taste. I enjoyed The Fountainhead more than Atlas...

 

pg. 8 and counting of my essay that is.....ughhhh.....the more I write the more I realize how her philosophy doesn't hold any water.

 

Ayn Rand was a Russian immigrant - english was not her first language. I would put her intellect and vocabulary up against 99% of all college grads, and she would come out on top.

I love the premise of Atlas Shrugged. I'm so tired of 1% of the population carrying the other 99%.

Where IS that damn mountain?!

My dad has a theory about intelligence. An IQ of 100 is the average. For every person ABOVE 100, theres someone BELOW 100. If you have an IQ of 130, you have a corresponding idiot in this world with an IQ of 70! woot!
