Default anyone regret having kids

honesty would be much appreciated, but not expected.

keep seeing kids everywhere, whining, taking up a bunch of time, energy and money etc. happily married people have gotten divorced over kids. makes you wonder if they are worth the trouble.

most of my friends who have kids by "accidents" says that its a blessing. They tell me it made them mature and take responsibility, made them "grow up".

I have not heard a person said they have regretted it.

i hear the same thing, but wonder if parents feel it, but simply cannot admit what they are really thinking as it would make life stuck and unbearable.

It's been 23 years of Hell with kids...but worth it.
The only reason for life is that a little piece of you lives on.
My kids were tough to deal with, but have grown up strong an smart. Nothing feels better than looking on your children and being truely proud of them.
Oh, they don't get easier as they age, just more expensive.
It's part of life, just don't make the mistake some do and take it for granted.

I work with Juveniles in the criminal justice system. Many of them have psychological needs and are severely emotionally delayed and very hard to deal with. It could be said; these are the worst of the worst. That said, their parents (which are usually the root of the problem) love their kids very much and I don't think would regret having them.

I lived like a rock star until I turned 38...and I'm lucky to be alive.

Married now with three kids...absolutely no regrets.

ever seen that stand up special with wanda sykes talking about her friends with kids?
when you ask them about their kids they always say the same thing, they're a lot of work but they're worth it, but they can never look you in the eye when they say that

i'm the proud father of two boys, one is three the other going to be a year next month, the only gripe i have is i make a decent living, and i have a few toys and i have a few projects, but my boys come first. sometimes i want to buy something, (prime example i'm itching to buy the kraftwerks s/c kit)
but i have to wait until i can safely buy it and still have enough back up in the savings incase something comes up
the boy's? it's a lot of work, but it's worth it

as for getting married? well thats a different story

The best feeling in the world is when my 2 1/2 year old looks at me -- smiles real big -- and says "I love you daddy" (and means it). I get to spend more time with my boys than most fathers and it is a real blessing.
