Anyone tried wakeboarding?

I've been wakeboarding since the day when we were standing on kneeboards! Once you get the hang of it you will enjoy it more. Go find some smooth water behind a boat with a large wake and go for it. You'll be surprised the number of times you will face plant trying new tricks. After I tore my MCL doing a backflip 5 years ago I calmed down a bit.

I love all board sports. Grew up surfing and skateboarding, recently tried snowboarding, have wakeboarder many times, and have to say it is my least favorite of all of them.

Come to think about it, it hurts a helluva lot less than skateboarding, but I just don't like to be restricted in any way.

Phantom - where you are at in Lake Travis is too wakey! you spend a lot of your energy just staying a float without trying any tricks. you should go out WAAAY OUT like near Pale Face, or almost that far (20-30 miles or so down the lake) and it smooths out. unless of course, you go to Lake Austin, especially during the week. Glass...glass...glass... awe yea! =) just smooth glass to wakeboard on, which really rocks! but if you get too close to Mansfield Dam, prepare for the chills! that water comes out from underneath Travis and its freezing no matter what time of year it is.

Schatten,

Thanks for the tips!

Next time I'm going to take the S2000. The roads look fun to drive on.
