The peeps who think that the entire Moon missions were all faked are probably the same ones who believe in crazy conspiracy theories and think aliens are among us... Stick your heads outa your asses people!

I don't know if there's a God but I JUST SAW ELVIS!!!!!!!

Ya, any schmuck who thinks the flag flying is because of the wind is stupid. Think about it...what would be the point of putting a flag on the moon if the little amount of atmosphere on the moon isn't enough to fly it? An american flag that is not flying is just some red, white and a touch of blue all discombobulated...

Of course they're going to put something on the top extending out to support a "flying" flag...and that little wrinkle is enough to be created by the moon's atmosphere.

As per the radiation, I have no answer for that...

and the first steps on the moon...that camera was a little farther away than just "outside the ship" i think.

Also, does anyone think that photo looks a little "tampered" with????

This, on the surface, seems like a good idea. However, on closer inspection, it's actually a bad one.

Keep in mind that the earth is the same as it has been for billions of years, the same amount of water, gas, rock, etc. (+ some rogue asteroids and - some space eq). Everything on earth is needed, even waste, all things must balance. As a matter of fact, the entire earth used to be noxious...much worse than our little global warming effect, so things aren't as bad as they seem.

It's my assertion that everything needs to STAY HERE, just be returned to a better state of energy.

It amazes me that so many people don't realize that part of the mission was placing a corner reflector on the surface that we have used countless times to measure the distance to the moon. I suppose we put that up there with model rockets?

The people who write the TV specials that suggest we haven't been to the moon are clueless, and no very little (if any) science. They would do well to learn some of the thousands of lessons we've learned from space exploration that we'd have never learned any other way.

However, we could've just stayed here on earth. Likewise, our forefathers could've stayed put, the Vikings could've just wandered around on foot, and we could ignore the mysteries of the bottom of the ocean.

sigh...

LOL. You think I'm kidding? I'm one of those whackos fixated with natural disaster scenarios of globally catastrophic scale that will purge the earth of 98% of the human population. nevermind that I'm a huge proponent of slave child labor (small hands make good stitching) and so on. I still feel guilty about throwing my glass and plastic away, but I'm getting over it.

Just kidding, about the getting over it part... I still feel guilty.

Did anyone guess as to why there are no stars in any of the pics?

I would think that without the atmospheric conditions, and reflective (man-made) light that we experience on Earth, the view would be phenominal!

-Pete

EDIT: I keep looking at the above pic. WHERE THE F ARE THE STARS/PLANETS/CELESTIAL BODIES??? That creeps me out!!!

I've seen video from the space shuttle, and when they show the view through the "window" you can see all kinds of stars and meteors and stuff everywhere!
