Default ASE mechanic courses?

So lately I've been toying with the idea of getting some ASE certifications. More than anything I would like to get certified in suspension and brakes. Any other certifications can come later. Is it possible to get certified in these specific fields without having to enroll in the whole master mechanic program? Anyone knows how long these courses can take? Any ideas of where these courses are offered (especially in south FL)?

I'm currently certified in four fields. I got brakes and suspension/steering done first. It is possible to pass these courses without training but training will make it much easier, courses prepare you for the types of questions. I went to college for my training but learned more by working in the field. I'm not sure about courses in your area but here I had 6 week courses. For complete automotive training I was in school for about a year and a half.
