Asia-- Going there, need advice/suggestions...
I'm making a trip over to Taiwan/Hong-Kong/S. Korea in about 3-1/2 weeks...
I've spent a fair amount of time in Taiwan, but virtually none in Hong-Kong, and none in S. Korea.
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of "must-do/see" things while there? Also, if you know of any cool places/clubs/bars, that would rock too!

s. korea don't even bother trying to look for historical places or traditional dances,
it's not gonna impress you at all expecially if you wanna compare it to chinese or japanese
culture.
other than "kyung- bok- goong"
or "bee- won" (secret garden)
it just shows how many wars, invasions, being colonized as well as people's lack of love and care
toward their culture completely destroy their country's historic records.
if you wanna go outside of seoul, say gyeong- ju, it's a bit better tho, but it's about 5 hours away
from seoul.
for pop- cultures and young age hang- outs,
try apgoojung- dong, myung- dong on sunday afternoon, kang- nam sat. nights,
hong- dae friday/ sat nights, shin- chon.
clubs try hyatt hotel's "j. j. mahony's" first,
it sucks shiet but at least it'snon- korean friendly and cheap.
better clubs are "boss" in apgoojung- dong,
"juliana" in "ellui" hotel (but not the juliana in koex mall!),
but be prepared for $ 300 + bill.
but these clubs waiters hook you up with girls, called "booking", force
girl customers to sit at your table for drinks/ chats/ dates for later on.
hard cores try rave, hip- hop, punk rock clubs at hong- dae.
don't forget lotte world, in- door amusement park/ mall,
and "koex" mall.
if i think of anything more i'll come back to this thread.

if you have time, stop by BORACAY which is a small island resort in the philippines. its basically a 2 mile long white sand island that is a popular place for celebrities and there are many tourists from korea, japan, australia, etc. the beach their makes hawaii look like a sandbox.
In Taiwan,
Go to "din-Tai-fong." It's a 5 story restaurant that serves some of the best soup buns you will ever have. I think there's less than 4 of these restaurants in the world, and they are not all on the same continent. Just ask any cabbie to take you. It's in Taipei.
I also recommend going to the daily food market sto get some fresh fruit. Some of the best in the world. Also, go to the night markets and try some stinky tofu if you are feeling adventerous.
