Default Athletes added to deadbeat dads list failing to pay child support

That is just sad. They are actually from my city and got payed millions of dollars each year and can't pay their children $5,000 a month for child support. Some people have no responsibility which is sad.

Yes but its both their repsonsibility. Espicially if you are making millions. The child has to pay for it in the end and I don't think that is fair.

I do think that these athletes should be responsible for child support, but if it's because of some really short relationship or one night stand then I think that $5000 a month is way too much to ask for. If they were married that's one thing. Otherwise they should pay $1500 a month or so. That's more than enough for the child to have a decent middle-class life as long as the mother isn't a low life.

i agree that $5k per month is too much... hell that is more than the "average" person makes, plus child support is tax free to the receipiant..... so that would be like making $80k per year!..... but... on the other hand... if the father was making $3M a year, surely he could afford $60k cash for his own kid.

I think a fair number of the thugs who play professional sports have no sense of $..... they probably get ripped off by all of their friends and blow every dime they get when they get it....... so the guy is probably washing dishes at Denny's right now.

i have no sympathy for the woman who receives nothing. Most of the time, they get together with these athletes to get money from them. They should have used protection.
