If you've been stop-lossed between 9/11/01 and 09/30/09, the Army will pay you $500 for each month (or partial month) that you were retained on active duty. Per the website, this applies to current AND former members, active and reservist on active duty.

You can file your claim directly from this website. No rush - you've got until 10/21/10 to do so.

I'm sure this applies to other services as well - just don't have the info.

 

They should tap into some unused stimulus cash and double that.

 

^ Would be nice. The fact that the Army will also pay this to former soldiers is unheard of.
