i'm coming up on my 5 year mark next month. re-enlisted for 4 years in january 06. my time to get out will be my 8 year mark in 2010. i wanted to start this thread to see what prior service members are doing now. i came in when i was 18 so i obviously have no college. i'm an AM(aviation structural/hydraulic mechanic) in the navy, and i plan on using the skills this job has given me in the civilian world. the navy has put me through some pretty cool and technical schools, including an 'aircraft paint and finish' school. if you reply, just say what you did in the military, time in, and what you do now. thanks for any input!

I flew the F4C Phantom in the AF. I now own and run and an environmental services firm. I also drive a Laguna Blue Pearl S.

Spent 31 1/2 years in the AF. Weapons Spec; crewed F100 (Misty) F4C,D,E's. Retired as CMSgt in 1998. Worked as a Graphics Designer for the state of Delaware dept of Trans until last year. 2000 Silverstone and 1956 Porsche 356.

 

cool. My dad flew the F-4C, and F-111 A, E, and F. He did his Vietnam tour in the RF-4C.
