Default Audi S4 upgrades questions

How much boost can I have for S4?
I know it can have 320HP with just one chip. I heard that it can go up to 380 HP easily withour risking the engine. Is it true?

I think that's true... from what I understand, the RS4 stock has about 380 hp and uses pretty much the same exact engine.

Actually, I've heard the internals are good for 500hp. A guy on VWVortex (the Houstooks actually know him - Zerin) just dropped in the K04 Motorsport turbos from the RS4 and a bunch of other stuff. Apparently, his car goes like lightning, so I'm thinking it is close to 400hp.

Check out his site at www.imolas4.com. Engine buildup pictures are quite cool.

http://www.pes-tuning.com/

(they're good, kinda pricy, they sell Garret chips which I like, this is probably the chip that you heard about giving the car an extra 60 or 70 hp!)

http://www.neuspeed.com/pages/projaudis4.html

Neuspeed's project car is a 400 HP S4 , 1 bar ECU raises stock boost from 9 psi to 14.7 psi and holds most of until it hits the increased 7300 rpm redline!. Quarter mile run was completed in 13.1 seconds @ 106.5 mph and 0-60 time was at a-very-fast 4.9 seconds. European Car magazine described the "Neuspeed ECU is an excellent, non-invasive way to wring more performance from the S4".

The Audi S4 is a very nice car, I wanted one badly but was a bit over what I was looking to spend at the time so there was nothing...........and then there was the S2K

Yes, S4 does kick ass. I love that car. I am very much looking forward to the new one as it will be a much better handler than the current car, should be lighter, and will have a tweaked 2.7T good for about 300hp (rumored). Some have even said it will look like a 4 door coupe. Whatever, it'll be great.

You're asking this question to a group of owners who, predominantly have only S2000's and NOT Audi products AND who either are frustrated that they cannot stomp your car's a$$ or who would like nothing better than to stomp your car's a$$ or who have already stomped your car's a$$??? What are you thinking?

But is it reliable power? That's the question.
