I had no toy when I was a kid.
I had 2 sets of lego growing up.
Until I bought myself old video game consoles, barbie and legos last year.........that was it.

Maybe FP's parents wouldn't let him see the stuff? My parents wouldn't either, but I found ways to sneak them in anyways.

My family was just poor. My mom raised me on a teacher's salary.
TV was a luxury item.
Well, it still is......for me anyway.

Your parents wouldn't let you see this stuff, why??? My parents didn't care. In fact, it helped keep my Japanese skills sharp and was very entertaining. Too bad my Japanese SUCKS now.

Well, first of all school is the most important thing back in Taiwan. secondly, my dad has this thing about Japan whereas I have no idea of the sins committed by those before our time.

My Japanese REALLY sucks now that I don't practice it anymore...I'm losing a lot of vocabs in the process...yuck!

I had a feeling that there was some resentment by your parents. I don't know anything about that whole thing either, but it really doesn't mater now.

Maybe we need to go to Sawtelle and practice our Japanese at some of the restaurants there.

Ok, you got me, I never have spoken japanese. But I know what I need to get by at the sushi bar.

Just come to Cafe Muse on a Thursday night(Olympic and Sawtelle) I know the people there.
