Default ayone play golf on here?

I played yesterday for the first time in 8 years. I sucked then and I suck now, but I really enjoyed it and would really like to start back up again. What kind of clubs are you guys using? Wouldn't mind starting a little golf discussion.

I've been playing for ~20 years.

I use TaylorMade CGB irons, an R7 425 driver, and a YES! putter.

I used to be a solid golfer, but I played everyday or atleast 4 times a week. Now I suck, if my photography habit wasnt going strong I'd get back into golf for sure.

If anyone is looking for some very forgiving clubs, I recommend getting some TaylorMade r7 CGB max irons with graphite shafts and a Burner driver 10.5deg loft.

oh crazy, i JUST picked up golf a few weeks ago. I've been going to the range a lot and focusing on my form. I'm really into it right now. I just bought a used driver and a 5 iron on ebay and can't wait to get out again.

What tips would you give to a beginner like me?

I can use some tips as well. I've noticed there are a lot of training videos on youtube. Might want to check that out.

I went yesterday and got rained off the course by the eighth hole. I have my good days and bad days, it all depends on how many pints I have had...

Beginners listen to me.

If you really want to get into golf and are willing to stick with it, go to your local golf-pro and get fitted for clubs.

Then, pick up Ben Hogan's Five Lessons. Read it over and over and practice exactly what he says. There is no need to take lessons....just read that book. It will work....trust me. You'll be shooting into the 80s in no time.
