I don't understand things like this... I mean why couldn't they get a tugboat (or two or whatever), throw a couple tow lines around it and drag it out of there?

 

I suppose if you could tow a whale, they would have been doing that for the last 20+ years.

I suspect if you tow it by the tail you would break its back

If you tow it from the head I think it would choke on sand being pulled itno its mouth.

I remember a couple years ago a beached whale died somewhere on the california coast... they couldn't really move it because it was so big so some genious decided to blow it up. you can imagine the outcome.

 

what are they going to do with the dead whale?
