I've organized a few stags before, and have come to the following conclusion:
Most people will call-up/go to an escort agency, where they will then proceed to pick the appropriate girl for the occation. These girls usually run about $200/hour.
A much better way of going about this is to go to various strip joints, pick out the hottest girl, and ask her if she does stags. Most of the dancers will say "Yes...if the money is right". You should expect to pay around $110 or $120 for an hour of her time.

Now, for the ups and downs (you can interpret that anyway you feel fit)
Escort Pros:
-Someone at the party that night will probably get laid.
Escort Cons:
-You will have to shop around for a while to find an attractive escort
-The Groom probably doesn't want a crotch that's been used that often rubbing against his nose
-Make no doubt about it, whoever the 'lucky' guy is who gets laid that night will definately have to pay for it
-She is all about the money. You pay for an hour, she do her thing for 1 hour, and not a minute longer, then she is out the door.

Dancer Pros:
-You already know what she looks like naked, there aren't going to be any last minute suprises
-Half the price never means half the price when it comes to stripper shopping. Half the price means that you have enough money to get her friend to come along too
-Many of these girls are actually cool to party with. They know perfectly well that they are the center of attention for one hour, as every guy in the room eye-humps them. But when the show is done, quite often they will stick around and drink with you...you invited them to a party, why not party with them. They don't work by the stopwatch.
Dancers Cons:
-These girls are strippers, not hookers. Do not try to offer them money for 'extra activities', it's probably not gonna happen. But guess what, if you treat her good, have a conversation with her and make her feel welcome, someone that evening might just end up being a 'lucky guy' after all (this belongs in the pros colomn)

well, this is what I did with my best man. I made him watch the movie Very Bad Things and it was a no brainer after that on where to have his party. Strip clubs are cheaper anyways. Saved me a bundle too. Go to the clubs on Mon,Tues or Wed when things are slow and dancers will work harder for the money and it is not so crowded. Of course you may not get the best dancers that work on Friday or Saturday but you can work with club manager to get the dancers to come in for an hour or 2. He was so hammered and wild that he actually asked one of the dancers to give him a ride home and she did! Nothing happened though. She was very sweet. Working her way thru Grad school.
