I find it is much more enjoyable when I go to the game. The atmosphere of being at the ball park is great. And it doesn't even have to be MLB. I go watch the AAA team for the Mariners a lot, and it is a great time.
Granted, I don't usually sit and watch a full baseball game on tv. I am usually doing something else. I'll either have it on in the background...or tivo it and watch the whole thing in about 45 minutes.

i LOVE the game of baseball. its not boring, i suppose if you dont know the theory of the game, and the strategy youd find it boring. i played for a long time and had dreams of pro ball, but realized that i didnt have the stuff(namely fielding) to compete so i gave up.
golf is boring.....to me. and im sure many of you love golf. its all relative. IMO hockey, soccor are boring as hell. basketball is another sport i can wait for to be over.
baseball isnt gay.....the Yankees are.
GO Rays!

Daddy must not have played catch with you...sorry.
Most people who think baseball is boring really just don't understand the game. If I go to a sports bar or talk with a dude who says he doesn't like baseball, the first thing that comes to my mind is "what a homo".

My dad played catch with me and I even played in High school, however, I can't stand to watch baseball unless I'm playing. Going to an MLB game is a little more fun, but it still is pretty mind-numbing unless, by chance, it comes down to the very end and one great play can make or break it.
The only way to watch an MLB game on TV is with Tivo. That way it can take about 20 minutes, which is all the game deserves anyway. Going in person is better, but that doesn't make it a great sport. Yes, I understand the underlying strategy to it, doesn't mean it's a great game. Chess has strategy to it too, doesn't mean it's a phenomenal game.
And America's Pastime? Not for decades. Football is the official sport of America now.
