Which beater plate should Tina choose?
It's kind of the same thing. Rationalization for the realities of a normal daily driver....

I know that's a buzz kill, but my wife and I went through the same thing. She was still in school and her parents bought her a Cavalier. We thought it would take some of the sting out of driving it if we had a "cute / cool" personalized license plate.
It wound up working exactly the opposite. We drew more attention to something we didn't really want nor need to draw attention to.

true; i see your point.......just need it to get through winter (gotta put a clutch in it though....fun
but at least the weather allows for it this week ). PA personal plates are like $20 so i think it's worth it
