What a ing joke the AP is. They just threw pot in to the title to stir the ant hill so to speak.
Teenagers simply because of hormones. Throw $5k in to the mix and not many 16 year olds will pass that up.
I love how they just didn't have the room in the title to include alcohol so it must have all been the pot's fault.
It wasn't the money or the pussy staring them in the face that prompted them to do what they did, it was that evil, evil plant. Give me a ing break.

I understand that excel, and I did find that part humorous, but it's unsubstantiated, subtle claims like the one in this headline which keeps the movement for medical marijuana from progressing forward. By implying that pot had anything to do with their actions leads the uneducated, ignorant and conditioned to believe that marijuana has this ability to "drive people crazy" and make them do things they supposedly normally wouldn't do had it not been there in the first place. Kind of like the bullshit hysteria surrounding the film "Reefer Madness" and how, since its premiere, it has lead thousands of people astray as to the real symptoms of being under the influence of marijuana.
Anyone that has used before knows that it certainly doesn't ignite some primal, carnal instinct to want to go out and anything that moves. If anything has those characteristics it is alcohol. Most people barely have the energy or desire to do anything other than relax and enjoy their surroundings while under the influence of marijuana so to imply that money and pot were the contributing factors to what these teens did is simply assainine. They did what they did because the are young, dumb, and full of cum and were offered $5,000.
We've lived here in the states a long time under the oppression of this silly grandfather law that was created by Congress solely to put money in to the pockets of Dupont stockholders and it's shit like this that keeps us from doing away with misinformation and corruption.
