Default Bernie threatens Schuey

Bernie Eccelstone (sp?) has been heard on TV (today's Italian GP) threatening Michael Schumacher not to do something "silly" and lose his championship points. The fallout is a result of a good portion of the F1 drivers feeling that the Indianpolis GP in the USA should not be run as scheduled out of respect for those who perished and also for security reasons. I didn't know you can threaten drivers like this...

He and the rest of them better show up, or I'll want my money back.

Don't worry they will, Bernie will see to that.

yeah, that's the problem: Bernie, by all accounts, is a tyrant and an a-hole. and when the time comes for the contract to be up for F1 broadcasting, the teams and drivers may start their own league, like IRL and CART.

I don't think so. Look to NASCAR and the France family. The lesson: everyone will let you be an ass as long as everyone is making money. I'm not sure there is anything wrong with this (except for the smell).

well that's the thing. from what i hear the manufacturers want more share of the profits from broadcasting, and i think bernie is keeping a rather large sum of that to himself - hence the basis for the discontent among teams and manufacturers with bernie.
