Yea, those car chases in Ronin on all those narrow streets were great! Bullitt is definitely a classic.

How about The Blue Brothers? The chase through the shopping mall and then, of course, the number of police cars they destroyed was incredible.

And how about, "The Seven Ups" (wasn't that Roy Schneider?) and "The Great Escape" (Steve McQueen on the bike). A few scenes from the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" series. The Speeders chase in Return of the Jedi and the Pod Racing in Phantom Menace.

i'm gonna state the obvious.. Gone in 60 seconds. despite the cheezy CGI'd car jump.

others..
one of the jackie chan films.. think it was rumble in the bronx.. they were running in a sweet Lancer Evo.

Driven.. only good part of the damn movie.. running from the cops.. the best is the scene in the tunnel. that lasted 5min.

Cannonball run.. white lambo running from the cops.. that became the red lambo running from the cops.

There was a Hong Kong movie with all kinds of Japanese cars, and bikes racing everywhere called "Legend of Speed" that was awesome. Best racing movie you will ever see, with tons of cool cars. Don't know where you can find one though.

BTW, did he not do all of his own driving in both movies? McQueen is King!
No he didn't. A dessert racing (Bikes) buddyof his whos name escapes me at the moment did the Jump in the Great Escape (What the Germans were doing with a Triumph I don't know) and did most of the serious driving in Bullit. Steve did some of the driving in Bullit but not the real dangerous stuff. The Studio would not let him but he could have done it, he was talented enough. He was a real good bike racer (See "On Any Sunday" a GREAT movie about bike racing) as well as a race car driver. He did a lot of his own driving in LeMans.

James Garner did almost all of his own driving in Grand Prix.
According to all he had the skills.
