For me it has to be Transformers. Robots that turned into cars can't beat that.

no way. Robotech was the A-1 cartoon. best storylines ever. characters actually died.

after I got one of these as a toy, my Optimus Prime toy seemed like such a... truck.

 

Robotech and Voltron are the badassiest of the badass when it comes to old school anime

 

anybody remember that one cartoon where there was a ship in space that really looked like an ocean ship, except in the bow it had this super-powerful weapon? like a hole in the front, and it had to warm up to fire, but when it did, it was devastating? and it also had the capability of having asteriods totally cover it to disguise it, or it could have the asteroids spinning in a ring around it to defend it against attacks?

that was a cool cartoon too, but Robotech is, and always will be, the baddest of the bunch.

 

Yes I definitely agree Robotech is on the top of my list. IT'S My favorite ANIME SERIES of all time and always will be. I have the entire DVD collection. Which I started to watch again last night. That's pretty much what led me to create this thread. But what was your favorite episodes. Mine was season 3 with the Invid definitely coolest characters and man the Cyclones cycles were Bad Ass.
