Music Match is what I use. It produces the best quality rips in my opinion. If you compare it to like Adptec's ripper or winamp, nothing compares. Especially when converting from mp3 to WAV, it enhances the signal so you get a much criper, louder recording. Try a few and play them back to back and you'll see what I'm talking about.
P.S. No offense to you Aaron, I've never tried your software, I'm just going on what I've tried Props to you for writing one though. I'm a programmer too, and I love those kinds of uselful projects

... Music Match is the EXACT same encoder used in my app: the Lame Encoder... So the quality is identical.
I do recommend turning ON "Normilzation"... It will equalize the audio levels taking into account tracks which are recorded a lower audio levels, make them similar in audio level, thus you don't have to turn up and down your volume based on the song.
Furthermore, using VBR (Variable Bit Rate) is optional-- I personally like it when I use WinAmp, but other media players (like Windows Media Player) will report incorrect track time (Its a bug in some players, NOT in the ripper or VBR technology).

oh, i think sometimes it loses some quality... some range? signal?
i dunno any of those digital music terms but
sometimes some parts of the music sounds diff. from original cd.
like, the voice changes like robots from 60's sci- fi movies.
why is that?
