I am looking for a new toy - a PIM. I owned a Palm Pilot (when it first came out), a REX, a Blackberry, and a Jornada.

I don't really need the wireless email that the Blackberry gives, but it was great.

I liked the Windows CE that the Jornada used.

I liked the Graffiti of the Palm.

I liked the size of the REX.

I haven't really kept up to date on what's been updated/new models in the last year, so any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Which Palm Pilot do you have? I currently have the Palm V and love it.

The screen of the Compaq iPaq gets the most attention around work. Especially when you add the expansion pack and a wireless lan card, it is very cool. Very cool = very pricey.

I would add the Kyocera 6035 Smartphone to this list. Palm and a trimode phone in one!

The new Palm m505 is pretty ncie too. It's based on the same form factor as the Palm V, but it has a color screen and an expansion port.

I had the Cassiopia EM-500, it was a great mutimedia device (plays mp3, audio books and the usual PIM functions), but it was overkill, so I returned it after 3 weeks.

I now have a Palm Pilot m505. It doesn't have as many features, but it meets all my needs for a PIM.
