Hey guys,

I'm just about ready to buy my S, but I need a car loan first. Where is the best place to get one?

Thanks, Scot! I'll check that out. Are there any places online that I should check as well?

Jim

In Los Angeles (except some credit unions and or auto company special financing) Gilmore Bank usually has the lowest rates. As of this morning, new or used cars up to 4 years old starts at 6.00% APR for loans up to 5 years.

Gilmore Bank is located on S. Faifax ave (farmers market) ph:323-549-2100 or www.gilmorebank.com

Good luck.

bankrate.com and eloan currently have better deals than that(closer to 5%).

Wow - thanks everybody! Lots of great suggestions. I will check all of those out and see where I can get the lowest rate. Anywhere else that has even better rates than the aforementioned ones?

Probably should forget about eloan. The Honda dealer told me they don't accept eloan since they issue drafts and not checks...

ditto mine.

I got 4.29% right from the dealership, and a heck of a deal on the S as well. of course, this was back in July '03.

I got 3.99% fixed for a 5 year loan last May.

I got 5.25% fixed last month for my MY03.

Of course, this is USAA, who will be lower than most for-profit financial institutions.
