Best place for Korean BBQ in LA?

i politely disagree. not to start a bbq war here (and i do like a good tri-tip and southern bbq once in a while), but korean bbq is an art in the making. we're not talking about the typical slab of meat with some herbs and spices cover on the outside and then slapped on the grill for a while deal, i'm talkin' about finely sliced or cut beef (bul koki or kal bi) and beef tongue exquisitly marinated in secret sauces, and BBQ'd on a nice and clean grill with rice that are just sparkling pearl-esque and bonds together in all of its fullness and glory (sorry, the cheap ass long grain rice associated with panda express, uncle ben, and various hispanic foods are just not very good rice). the beef will remain super tender even when it's well done on the grill thanks to the marination, and the sweetness aroma of the beef's natural tastes and the marinated sauce will spread in your mouth in a sweet explosion of pure carnivorous pleasure.
american bbq is about a big slab of somethin', and lots of A1 and bbq sauce to hide the tastes of that black stuff that's been stickin on the grill over the years
i like it, once in a while. but if you want a little romance, a little wine, fine samples of korean side dishes, and the experience i just described, look no further than korean bbq.
god i love food.

I like that Korean BBQ place on Western, across the street from that Korean market with the bad hilly parking lot, somewhere near a KFC. It's a few blocks west of the 101, I beleive. I think the place is open 24 hours!
