only time i wear a beater is at the lake or if i'm going to be driving top down for a while to avoid the mid arm farmer's tan.

for wearing under a button shirt there are V-necks.

Joe Boxer are pretty good A-shirts, made of t-shirt material instead of that crappy "rib weave" junk most are. They do wear out, but they'll lose their shape and stretch at the bottom before they fray or fall apart.

Good deal on their double-A batteries as well! Been buying em for years.

I always wore really tight T-shirts under clothes for the reason of not making the dress shirt, etc on top hang funny.

Since the highschool days when we actually wore beaters and thought we looked good, I can't go back and put one on again

awww, see I thought the rib was an advantage.. keeps the shirt tight against the body in the wider areas (lats and chest) as well as the narrower areas around the stomach and obliques.... but I will check them out... thanks for the reply!

i like to wear wife beaters and chill on my front stoop. Medium is a good size and hanes/costco are reasonably priced for undershirts. beaters are good for chilling in hot weather and drinking forties.
