Best & Worst Places to Own a Car
Only $3000 difference between most expensive and least expensive (~$9k vs. ~$6k)? That's a little surprising to me. Does it really cost 6 grand to operate a car for a year? Ouch. Oh well, at least I get my money's worth

I think vehicle depreciation factors greatly into this number. Although depreciation is less over time. I am unsure at what stage of ownership they derive these numbers, however, I suppose it might just be an overall average. I don't come close to these numbers with either the S2K or our 99 TL. However, if I factor in depreciation, it can start getting up there.
Best & Worst Places to Own a Car in the USA.
I think the most expensive place to own a car in the world must be London :
- first they are 20-30% more expensive than in Europe
- insurance is high
- Fuel is the most expensive in Europe
- Parking is impossible, fines are crazy, and they clamp or tow away the car in 5 minutes
- and soon there is gonna be a 'toll' system to get into the center (an electronic device checking yor licence plate in fact : http://www.guardian.co.uk/livingstone/arti...,520296,00.html )
